Whats up, my friend has a d15b in his 95 Coupe...his 3rd gear scratches when shifting after 3000 rpm, he wants to know what he should do other than buying a new tranny, i suggested synchro mesh, what are your opinoins?

 

Try the syncro mesh. If not then just get a new tranny. Its a d series so it will be cheap.

when you goto GMC to buy the synchromesh... give them the part number as shown in above pic ^^^

what you want is the "friction modified" fluid, Sometimes the employees dont even know they have it until u give them the part number

 

I agree with the above posts. Try the syncromesh first. Remember though, it helps but it is not a solution.

 

just shift it y0.....my 3rd gear has been scratching for like a year
