Anyone With A Helms Manual For a 94-up Integra or any B18C1 knowledge please help
I would like to know two things.
1. How exactly do I go about adjusting the tensioner for the Timing Belt?
2. What is the torque specificaion for a) the studs that bolt into the head and hold the valve cover and that grey piece of plastic over the spark plugs and b) the stud that bolts into the head and holds the valve cover on the four corners.
I know the top nuts are 7.5 but what is the specification for the part that bolts into the head?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Grey plastic piece over the spark plugs: 7.2
Bolts that hold valve cover to the head: 7.2
Timing Belt tensioner adjustment:
Tension Adjustment
CAUTION: Always adjust timing belt tension with the
engine cold.
NOTE:
• The tensioner is spring-loaded to apply proper ten-
sion to the belt automatically after making the follow-
ing adjustment.
• Always rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise when
viewed from the pulley side. Rotating it clockwise
may result in improper adjustment of the belt ten-
sion.
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Set the No. 1 piston at TDC
3. Rotate the crankshaft 5-6 revolutions to set the belt.
4. Set the No. 1 piston at TDC.
ADJUSTING BOLT
54 IM-m (5.5 kgf-m, 40 Ibf-ft)
For adjustment only,
do not remove.
5. Loosen the adjusting bolt 1/2 turn (180°) only.
6. Rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise 3 teeth on
the camshaft pulley.
7. Tighten the adjusting bolt.
8. After adjusting, retorque the crankshaft pulley bolt
to 177 N-m (18.0 kgf-m, 130 Ibf-ft).

thanks for the tensioner instructions.
For the studs I was talking about the torque into the head. I know they were more than 7.2 when I took them out!
(hella tight)
BTW: How hard is it to get to the tensioner? It looks like the motor mount is in the way as well as the wheel liner.
Thanks!

Okay I see what your talking about now I think.
All the diagrams I have show them being attached to the ends of the camshaft holders. It looks like you can't remove the studs.
Are the studs your talking about on the ends of the cam shaft holder?
Did you change your cams?

The studs bolt actually do bolt into the camshaft holder my bad
but there are two different kinds and I have broken both kinds and need to put my new ones in.[Modified by 94IntegraGSR-OVR, 2:56 AM 12/28/2001]
