f22b: Increasing Idle speed
I have a stock 95 accord non-vtec f22b 5 speed manual that shakes at idle. The car has almost a quarter of a million miles on it, but I am too cheap to put any money it (buy new motor mounts). The idle is rock steady at 700 rpm, but I can't find the screw on the throtle body to increase it. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a throtle body and the screw to increase idle. I can take a picture of mine if necessary.
thanks.
thanks.
Why would you not put money into something that has lasted you that long.... Its deffinetly worth the few hundred (if that) for the mounts...

well, i dont have a picture but it is very easy to find. if you look at the throttle body straight on from the passenger side of the vehicle you will see a brass flat head screw on the top of the throttle body. its not that hard to find.

try removing the hose to the throttle body & check the butterfly valve for some carbon...
then get a can of "throttle body cleaner" & spray that throttle body valve down, wipe, repeat as needed...
might be hard to start car after this d/t some residual spray has entered the intake...
do that 1st & then fiddle w/ the screw if unsuccessful.
Lemme know how it turned out for ya!

OK I included a picture of what momstaxi was saying...

I took that screw out and cleaned it, however it has a rubber o-ring around it and at any position the idle speed does not change. Why not?
