EG Predicament. OEM fog lights clash with bottom corner license plate.
Well, I have an Si and hate having the license plate on my front bumper. STands out like a mother*&(^@. Problem is I keep getting tickets for no front plate so I must keep this on. Anyways, I want to place it on the bottom passenger side of the bumper but the kit for this goes where the OEM fog lights go. I don't yet have these but want to get them. Does anyone know of a solution for this? I am thinking of ways to get around this but wouldn't mind some thoughts from my fellow HT comrades. (probably spelled it wrong and no I am not a commi)
Thats kinda how it goes... If you put something in front of something else, one thing will be covered up... Thats how hide-and-seek works too.
If your state requires you to have a front plate, just put it where it belongs, and deal with it.

So if you're state requires that you have a pink car, are you simply going to paint it pink and deal w/ it?

hahaha. Realy though, i live in cali where they have that front plate law and i just have mine on my dash. I have yet to be pulled over, nock on wood. If your gonna mount in on the front bumper itself i havent seen anything besides the oem spot that doesnt block the fog lights

Why don't you just comply to the law? Not having the front plate is just giving the police another reason to pull you over/harass you...

Does anybody actually have a solution to this? Would taking a license plate relocater bracket and moving it over do the trick? I'd like to hear from someone who's gotten around this problem, cause im going to get oem fogs soon.

that's the dumbest damn thing I've read all day....
...but it's not your fault since your in the 04 crew....
if you don't want it mounted in the stock location AND you don't want it covering your soon-to-be OEM fogs, you have 2 options:
1. Don't use a front plate, and get tickets....You've already explored that option...OR
2. Mount the plate somewhere in the center section of the front bumper, which is what I did...down off the front of the bumper but still in place to make the local law enforcement somewhat happy.....This might be a problem for you too, though, as it will interfere with your soon-to-be intercooler....
Best of luck on your front plate crisis.......

what an *******.
how about when you mount the bracket for your offset plate you don't put it all the way to one side so that it doesn't block the fog light or as stated before put it on your dash.
