Ever Change a Fuel Filter before?
I just got a new Fuel filter. On the right valve is the gas going out after it has been filter through the left valve. Anyways. For some reason I can't get the Bolt to losen up so i can put my new Fuel filter in. Has anyone able to losen the bolt before? One way or another, it has to come out in order for it to be bolted on the new fuel filter.
I f you are referring to the car sides, yeah, passenger side in and drivers side out. And there is no trick to getting the bolt off. I think on of mine was a bitch to loosen as well, but it came off. Some sort of penetrating oil, bolt loosener and elbow grease. If I remember correctly, I had to use the breaker bar for extra leverage on one of the bolts.

well i bought my car used (of course) and it's unfortunate how it was maintaned dude had ghetto got the rear stock springs ....the list goes on
heres what i did to take my fuel filter bolts of
of course like you guys i had a hard time taking off the bolts. if i used any kind of force the fuel filter would start to move and i was afraid of breaking something. so i sat on my engine, one foot pushing against the fuel filter, and then using my hands i pulled on the rachet and countered by pushing against the fuel filter with my feet.
thats it, got mine changed and its all good. but warning dont nick any part of the fuel filter bolts. when i took my bolts out, it somehow got alittle nick in it, started up my car and i see fuel squirting out of the filter. 1 small little nick, damn

I couldn't get it out still . . haha so i slept on it. WOke up, Change my mind. Said screw that freaking fuel filter for now. Return the Fuel filter to auto zone. lol got my money back. order a Air compressor kit with 135 PSI. WHen it gets here i'm going to blast that **** open. ;] In the mean time, I read everyone's reponse and went out and got a SEA FOAM from NAPA auto parts. ;]
Changing the fuel filter was my friend's idea, might not even need to do it. so forget about it now until my air compressor kit arrive then i'll take it out.
