Default JDM h22 transmission and LSD Question

does anyone know if the gear ratios in an JDM H22a differ from that of a JDM H22 type S motor or other H22 transmissions or are they all the same? also i saw that quaif makes a differental for the h22, does kass also? also i saw that some h22 you can buy with an lsd in the transmission already how does this one compare to an aftermarket and is ther anywhere to buy this stock lsd? thanks in advance

you need to look at the FAQ threads. it's all documented. The LSD that comes in the 4th gen JDM M2B4 tranny is NOT swappable with any other H-series tranny. the diff casing is a different size.

The JDM 4th gen M2B4 LSD is not that special. Kazz and Quaife make excellent LSDs that will fit in your USDM tranny. The Type-S tranny has ATTS, no LSD.

I have a JDM LSD on my 96 H22 , off the line it grips decent but right when you get into 2nd gear you just rocket away while a lof of other cars squeel for a few seconds, its awesome man

bud with a response like that, you can swap my *** into your tranny.

if you knew anything, you would know that a non-LSD, non-Type-S JDM tranny is relatively identical to any USDM tranny. But noooo, you decide you know what you're talking about, and attempt to insult the person trying to help you. Good move.

Say something smart again.

You have a m2a4 tranny, which is pretty much the same as the m2f4 usdm tranny.

You can swap an lsd in there, just not the m2b4 lsd.

nope, I mean I physically saw a quaife not fit in a M2B4, that we later put into an M2A4 and the guy I sold the JDM diff to said it didn't fit in his M2F4 so I don't have any reason to beleive that.

i didn't want this to go down like this, i got pissed when i read his reply becasue it basicly called me stupid. so after i posted it i did some research and looked at the FAQ and found some info. i didn't mean for this to get out of hand. all i wanted was some info. i just hate it when someone makes a big deal out of something they interprited wrong. i should have clarified my response before i posted it (the first one), the second reply was becase i was mad. i appologise for my actions. i was just looking for info.

He didn't make a big deal. If you would have read the FAQ in the first place, im sure your question could have been answered. He was trying to help you out, you tried to insult him and made an incoherent post. Needless to say your question has been answered, and i suggest you stop here before you dig yourself into a deeper hole.
