Ok last time gas prices dropped like 20 cents i got all excited and filled up the tank. Only this time i went all out and force fed it like crazy. It didn;t overflow or anything like that. But after the initial click I managed to get another 5 liters into the tank (yeah i have no idea where it went either).
So anyways after that I started the car and the needle wouldn't gp up till full it would almost touch it but wouldn't go the whole way, now the gauge is always slightly under full with a full tank, and seems to drop more rapidly than before indicating less gas than i actually have.
Anyone know if their is a simple fix for this problem ?

My car does the same thing from time to time. I belive it's the fuel sending unit. But the gauge is never exactly right. Usually there is more fuel in the tank than what it actually shows.
my 92 accord daoes the same thing, only opposite. When I totally top it off to the brim, the needle is on the left side of the F. So I have no idea when my tank is almost empty, so I just keep it above 1/4 tank.
