Damn oil pan
Changed the oil yesterday. While replacing the drain bolt it was spinning just a bit too much and when I looked at it, there were some threads sheared off. Its went into the pan but jsut keeps spinning.
How probabal is it that the bolt is the only thing messed up? Would the threads on the pan be softer and this require the need for a new pan?
Brand new synthetic all over the ground because of this problem and I cant drive until I replace one or the other or both. What do you guys think?

you probably stripped the pan. you can try rethreading it with a tap, but make sure you clean out ALL of the metal shavings left behind so it doesn't get in your oil.
I got a rubber expanding plug that I can use (or so the mechanic said). Its jsut like a staged rubber plug that will stay in, hopefully. I dunno But im still gonna replace it eventually, dunno when that is, next oil change...
