is it possible, ive searched through the forums and ive heard that i need either need an obdI to obdII adapter by skunk or that i need a ecu from a 96 vtec.

but one question that i have found no where through this site is can i bolt on the sh motor and TRANS onto my 93 s prelude <---------- needs to be answered!

Anything is possible with enough money, but i can tell you its not worth it. The engine and tranny will definetly fit in your car. But getting the ATTS to work will require alot of time and money.

You can use an sh block and base tranny in your 4th gen. But to use the block you have to fab a plate to bolt up the halfshaft. There is a write-up in the FAQ thread.

IMO, you would be better off just sourcing a base h22 and tranny or a 4th gen h22.

 

yeah just buy a type s engine and be happy or happier

 

type s engine also uses the ATTS system.

just get a JDM h22a swap.

 

fellas, this motor is coming out of my bros car, it has work done to it, and the tranny has clutch and lighter flywheel, lets not talk about what i should get lets talk about how i can install this monster into my dinky f22 4th gen.

ok so i need to fabricate something with this motor or the base?

im not worried about the atts to work i just want this motor in my car with vtec working. thats it, how can it be done?

 

don't make it obdii...

Get:

OBDI H22/H23 Distributor
H22A1 Injectors
OBDI p13 ecu
run vtec wires
no atts


it will fit and work

 

Sounds like a interesting project with the combination of ATTS in a lighter chassis (4th gen). But IDK, ATTS can be a great plus in some areas while it can be a hinderence when trying to do various engine modifications or replacement.

What is ATTS based on? If it is based on wheelbase, is the 4th gen wheelbase shorter than a 5th gen? Also, won't you have to switch ECU's from a 4th gen to a 5th gen? This could require a lot of time and financing.

 

satan, my question of most importance is if the sh trans will fit into my lude, i have been told something about camshafts not lining up or something. also how much would those parts run me for? and what about hooking up the ecu to the motor?
