Default My 90 Civic Si, from back in January (56k beware)

Some guy in a Cavalier turned in front of me at the last second when I was going about 25-30, and I couldn't stop in time. Car got totaled by insurance. I'm guessing someone got a REALLY nice set of seats out of this car at a junkyard or wherever it finally ended up. I did pull off the wheels before they took it, though.

Default No, it was totaled by insurance

I assume it ended up in a junkyard, or sleazy car dealer. Whoever got it, got a perfect pair of Si seats. That's all I'm saying.

Yep. Didn't know about these boards until well after that, and didn't have any reason to post until I got my CRX last week.

Dont know the severity of the damage but if wasnt too bad you woulda been fine with the 'new' front clip.

I would have bought it back if I had some place to put it and the time to part it or rebuild it. Unfortunately, I didn't at the time.

DOOOOOOOOOOODE! That sucks! I feel your pain man. My car was just hit as well, not as bad as yours but the other drivers insurance (Progressive, thieving bastards) totaled my car because they said it would cost $1900 (their lame estimate) to fix and the car was only worth $2125 (even with the receipts for my new A/C and SSR wheels/Dunlop tires and stereo and such totaling over $5K more from the last 6 months)!
They sent me a check for $2075 (they subtracted the $50 salvage fee they would have sold it to a junk yard for) and I ended up trashing the check and claiming it with MY insurance (AIG). My insurance paid to fix the car because I have it insured for $2500 OVER the book value. (Progressive covered the deductable, whoopie, $100)
Well the moral of the story is, ASK about the extra coverage for custom mods. It only costs me about an extra $80 a year and was the difference between having a totaled car with a salvage title and $2K to fix it OR having MY insurance fix the car which ended up costing $2900 and not being totaled. Now MY insurance is going to either sue the original driver or Progressive to collect the claim. Think about that, those of you with Progressive insurance (or really any insurance, I just particularly HATE Progressive). If you get into an accident, and your insurance doesn't settle the claim, YOU are responsible for damages! Sucks huh?! Especially when a hard *** like me is on the other side of the coin. (I had to bitch and scream a lot!)
Glad you got another car though. Wish I had a chance to buy yours, lots of good parts on there.

As I said, I had neither the time, nor the space to buy it back and fix it/part it out at that point. I wanted to, but it was impractical at the time.
