1990 crx cluster bulb size ( also 88-89, 92 and up )
Anyone know for sure, I know the 88-89 uses smaller bulbs but they fit in the 1990 crx cluster also.
Anyways I'm pretty sure its either
#24 or #194, the other smaller size used on the older crx is #72 I think, anyone confirm ?
#74 I think used on 88-89 rex's

#24 I think used on 92's and up

#194 I think used in the 90-91 rex's

This is a 1988 model cluster,
The bulbs used for illumination as indicated by
the red lines are the 194. All the others in the cluster are the smaller ones.

I am not sure about the later models...

Oh yeah for some reason I forgot about the bigger bulb used on the 88 model, I don't think the 194 fits in the 1990 cluster but the skinnier bulb does but that's not the one that original comes in the 1990 cluster. So that would mean it has to be #24. Anyone else want to confirm for sure ?

Ok well I have 2 clusters, 1 is from a 1990 crx and one I beleive is from an 89 crx. The 89 crx uses the longer skinner bulbs #74, now the 88 uses the #194 and it seems like the 1990 uses #24. On this one website is says
#74 too small?.....#194 too big?.....This is your bulb:
#24 (T6-1/2, T2-1/4) bulbs are 3/4" x 1/4" diameter
So it seems like #24 is the one.
Autozone says #194 and #74 will work but if there talking about the same spot, there is no way the 194 and 74 are interchangeable.

Ok autozone is wrong, there are no spots in the 1990 cluster where the #194 bulbs will fit.
To clear things up, so if people search and find this topic
The 1990 cluster uses #24 bulbs, there fatter then the #74 bulbs but the #74 bulbs will fit in the #24 spots.

Yep
but you can use #74 bulbs in the #24 spots, I just have not figured out which one is brighter. Any ideas ?
