Default Help! Ran over pothole today on my racing hart cp-035

Hey guys,

I accidentally ran over a pothole today (wasn't going very fast but the hole was deep). It made a loud thump and my car shook pretty hard. I took a look at my rim (rear left) and it seems fine. It doesnt seem bent or cracked. I drove it and it seems fine as well. So my question is, how can I check to make sure everything is fine? TIA for your replies.

i highly doubt it did anything, but if your rims are not bent check the suspension components.

Jack the corner up and spin it by hand - look for wobbles. If you're still worried, have it balanced, and check the suspension out while you have the wheel off.

Try to notice if the car wobbles or acts any different at high speeds (50+).

Does your car pull to one side? Your alignment may have been affected as well.

^ what he said!

Places like discount tire can readily evaluate and determine if any damage has been sustained to the wheel - with a high speed balancing machine.

Find a tire shop with a Hunter GSP 700 and let them check the wheel on that maching (with the tire off).
I had one of my p00nz checked after I tagged a curb.. and all was well.
