MRNICE1058 (on h-t, hondaswap, ebay and aol)

Around the end of July i sold a chipped p28 (for 165(paid for)) and apexi vafc(220 (was not paid for)) to shaun reyes or mrnice1058. He didn;t have the money for the vafc at the time but wrote an IOU note, and sent it with the check for the p28. Being the nice person i am, i sent both items out and agreed to give him some time to pay me back. So a month goes by and i contact him to see whats goign on cause he had asked me 50million questions about his swap that he was doing and such but never said anything about the money. He says alright and supposivly sends a check for 100 week and a half goes by and nothing and the kid is only a state over for me so i contact him to see whats up and he says that it must have got lost in the mail so he would paypal me the money instead. So i recieve 60 dollars from him in early september. Ok its not much but whatever, i've been in pinchs before so i tried to be understanding. So another couple weeks goes by and i contact him again and he says his motor blew and hes got no cash flow, alright whatever just get me the 160 you owe me asap. No word again, so i contact once again late october to see whats up, he says he has no money still and wants me to give him his 60 back and take the vafc back.

Alright this is where i start to get annoyed. I'm not a rental company, i obviously don;t need it or i wouldn;t have sold it in the first place, and he had it hooked up in his car so its not goign to be in as good of condition as what i sent it out so i say no i just want the money. still nothing after a couple more weeks so the other day i contact him and give him a deadline to pay me back. He no refuses to pay me the money back, and keeps sending completely immature responces back to my attempts to contact him. So i give him a final dead line before i get the authorities involved, and he just laughs. I'm still going to give him the time (the 26th) that i said i would to pay me back, but he said to go ahead and call the cops becasue hes sick of my **** and wants his money back.

sense this was posted in the scammer section on hondaswap, he now accuses me of selling a faulty ecu, which i know isn;t true because i drove on it just 2 days prior to shipping it out and my car ran fine. I boxed it up when i took it out along with the vafc and sat it in my pass. seat untill i had a chance to ship it out. I've sold to many, many people on here and have had no complaints at all, and i understand this is only 160 which seems petty to most people but i'm pretty tight on money right now due to a recent decision to start a business,and with my bike not selling and such, this is worth pursuing to me. And i hate scammers, i've been in similar situations before and had to get the authorities involved to get my money back, so i guess we'll see what happens.


cliff notes: I thought i'd be nice and front some parts by taking an IOU not but now the guy is trying to screw me after over 3 months

update 1/05/05: he sold the vafc on ebay and will not refund the 140 that i said i would take so we are off to court

Funny thing is hes forgetting the pm he sent me that said "I sent you a check for 100..... and but i'm not sure when i can get you the rest." So if it does go to court then the judge is obviously goign to knowit was more than 60

 

oh by the way people mrnice has stopped posting and now for some odd reason civiclxb16 has the same car, setup, problems. Both have jun chips (not the chip that was originally in my ecu) both got their rear disk conversions off of a 93 si, both have alternator problems and are asking about the d-b series compadability, both in PA..... hhmmm, thats just crazy

the arguement is pretty spread out in other topics, but its come down to a question that he can't awnser, that i feel proves my point.

If i was trying to rip him off, why would i send an ecu thats only worth 165 (paid for), and front him a vafc (worth 220, not paid for), and ship them out in the same box??????

alright then awnser me another question... i did some more research and pulled up an old topic. Now if the ecu is fried like you said it is/was when you got it, then you would pull a code solid, which is where the check engine light will not flash (this tells you that the ecu is at fault, not any of your components).......Ok so https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1024640 in here you say that you pulled a code 14 with the p28...hhmmm well that can't be right if the ecu is no good. Maybe you fucked up the wiring and messed the ecu up yourself, if it even is messed up, which you still haven't shown any proof of... just pay up man, you owe me and you know it

all you can do is insult me, you have yet to make a reasonable arguement. Seeing as how i'm a full time student and work on the weekends, trying to make something out of my life, i don;t have the time to take your stupid *** to court, and i shouldn;t have to. You owe me 160 flat out no if and or buts about it. Just because ou don;t want it no isn;t my problem. When is the last time you bought something from the store then took it back 4 months later and demanded your money back, but i guess this is a little different cause you only paid for like a 1/4 of it. Now, i've told you give me the 160 and its settled, why the hell should i agree to your terms, yea i want a used vafc back so i can sell it for less because its scratched up and they only go for like 180 now oooook. I'll tell you what, give me 140 and we are even so it'll be like paying 200 for it. If not i'll see you in small claims court in the summer.....have fun driving to ohio if you choose to take that route too, because you know you automatically forfit the trial if you don't show up.

sounds good but guess what i have nothing but time in the summer bitch and the judge is going to side with me, why because i have the item here waiting for you and he is going to tell you to take the item back and settle it that way tell you what take me to court it gives me the reason to go see the football hall of fame. and i might catch a reds game. and to answer your question yes i have to chipped p28's how else am i going to run the engine not with your shitty ecu, you ask for proof what proof do you need? i told you the vafc is not damaged there is nothing wrong with it, it is sitting in a box doing nothing for me. look you want to settle this here is what i am willing to do, just give the **** back, and that means i am going to take two hits, but i am sick of you being a 19 year old bitch so i will take the lose, you can consider it a rental if you like since you have the money for no reason, and to answer your question yes i have returned something that was 7 months old and i did get my money back for it, i can fight and i do get what i need to get done so if you want to stop this just let me know if you want pics of it let me know. if not i have no clue what to tell you but you are not seeing a dollar out of me understand

 

if the ecu is shitty and fried, why dont you send it all back, and when he gets the ecu and the vfac back and it IS in non working condition, then he can give you your money back? sounds a little fishy that you wont give someone back a burnt ecu and a vfac that YOU never paid for, and are not using...

 

Honda-tech needs to start a "group" that just beats down these deadbeats that don't pay for stuff. The seller in this thread was being nice and sent it to you (the buyer), even before payment, obviously because you wanted it, or needed it. Now you can't return the favor and atleast PAY FOR THE ITEM IN FULL?

****, if you were willing to ship that stuff back with no plm's and i RECIEVED the stuff, then yes i would take it back. just so i could sell it to someone who was willing to pay UP FRONT for it
