Neither one is necessarily "better", I personally would just find the newest head possible (low mileage is always good). The newer cams are ever so slightly bigger but they're not going to make a noticable difference (unless you found an old SiR head from an auto or something). You'll also be better off with the newer intake manifold. I personally like working with new heads simply because they generally have less wear as I mentioned before and I like billet cam rails (the old cast ones are ugly) but that's just my personal preference. Just curious too but how did you "overheat" your old head? Warp it? Seize something?

I believe they're all the same for the b16. Itr heads are b16 heads with upgraded springs, cams, and the factory p&p.

Yea the actual cylinder heads are the same, just the cam rails are different from the JDM 1st Gen B16's (ugly cast which does nothing to affect performance, I'm just ****) and the first B16's that came in cars over here (billet). Personally I would pull your current head, take it to a machine shop where they have a precision straight edge to see if it is warped. If it is slightly they should easily be able to deck it and you'll be set. It takes a lot to take out a cylinder head, you haven't already fixed your radiator, refilled with coolant, and tried starting the motor have you? If you do end up getting a new head it really doesn't matter if you're planning on moving your cams and IN manifold over. You could also move your cam rails from your current motor over too.
