just got my intake installed really like the sound plus i did notice some increase in performance ...Thanks guys for the feedback

 

i love my AEM CAI contrary to what some may say. Definitely an increase in power *butt dyno*

 

Especially, under bridges and tunnels! I always hit VTEC in those sites. how it sounds!

Cal - Who wonders how ITBs would sound like in that environment too?

I love my aem cai too.

 

The AEM is a god peice, i am torn between that and the ICEMAN, the tubing on the ICEMAN< you can fit a SI throttle body in

 

What size is the iceman?

Drive with the AEM for a while, then switch back to the stock intake..You'll be amazed in the INCREASE in lower end performance the factory intake offers.
Which is the reason my AEM is off, and up for sale!
I must say I loved the noise though!

 

I just got my aem itr cai today for my new skunk2 mani. I alreday had a aem gsr intake. I like the aem, clean simple contruction. So when it came time for a new intake, i went with aem again. peace

 

are you serious about the iceman intake? i always had thought it to be a ricers intake?

u dont lose low end with the AEM. When u put the stock intake back on, u tend to press the accelerator more because u cant hear the intake, so u think u've gained more torque. Put the AEM back on and drive a low revs with ur foot flat.....torque is the same, but u'll hear that ridiculous intake sound. Get an exhaust.

 

yeah i def agree on that one, altho the raspy aem vtec x-over isn't there anymore

 

yeah that really sucks, oh well, i think i can spare a little power down there for the aem vtec sound

 

I have an AEM and I love it! To this day it is the only thing that I have done to the engine, although that is going to change come January... I would do it again without giving it a second thought, the sound is second to none.

 

When you want both, why don´t you go with short intake, put a heat shield on and hook up a big PVC line leading from the front pumper to the air filter for RAM AIR EFFECT. The fater you drive, the more fresh air is going to the filter. And you donß´t have to worry about water. Yes, the Vtec sound is there too!

 

Just one more reason to move to SoCal, no worrying about water
