ITR tranny is way more worthwhile. 5-lug is hypeness with a touch of JDM.

suspension will go for 1500+- with the wheels
transmission will go for 1-1200.

id say keep the tranny. its easier to find the 5 lug, but when you are looking for a tranny, you dont know what to expect with a used one.

5-lug = maybe impress the occasional onlooker

ITR tranny = awesome performance to make yourself happy every time you drive

Easy choice for most...

Does the 5-lug come with brakes? If so, that's a fantastic upgrade if you track the car or autox it. If not, and you just putter around, the tranny will be more fun.

I agree with everyone else when they say keep the tranny. Good transmissions are hard to get, especially an ITR trans. You can easily duplicate the ITR brake setup in 4 lug configuration for 1/4 of the cost of the actual 5lug setup. If you do some searching around on here there have been some very good threads on replicating the 5lug brake setup, but in 4lug configuration

I guess it depends on what kind of tranny you are replacing your old one with?

keep the ITR tranny. 5 lug conversion is pointless in most applications. the wheels and brakes are nice and cool, but only the brakes are going to increase performance, largly at track events and very minimally at autox. Even then there are nice brake upgrades available for cheaper if you look around................John
