need info on rear brakes (but not how to)
hey i have a question i wanna do rear disc brakes on my '91 hatch but i dont want to have to drop the gas tank, is there anyway i can do brake swap without droppin the tank???

its just tighter. you could always keep all your current arms and swap only the spindle section outward and cables. ive done it.

I have never heard anyone drop their tank before to do a brake swap, not sure where you picked it uo.

confimed.......this works as well......I did it this way......da to a si hatch
That way I didn't have to get new ES bushings for the trailing arms.

The most I had to do on my CRX was loosen the tank straps a bit. Couldnt get to one of the bolts but it was all gravy from there.
Of course the most frustrating thing was reconnecting the cable ends to the bracket thingy inside the car.

I've done the swap on my 89 hatchback and didn't have to remove the tank.
What happens is that the parking brake cable runs along the front edge of the tank and the bolts for the brackets are rather difficult to get to. There are some heat shields that have to be removed. No big thing. Just take your time.
It comes in handy having small hands.
