??h22 parts interchangeable between 92-95 & 96-98??
sorry I'm kinda new to the h22 motor and all... (coming from b-series) but is there a difference in motor internals between 92-95 and 96-98? b/c alot of the parts I'm coming across on the application charts it just says h22. So does that mean it will work in all series? I.E: Cams, Valvesprings,Retainers,Pistons,Con. Rods?
mostly. you've got your years wrong
92-96 H22A1 same motor, 96 just has OBDII sensors.
1997 H22A4 uses same A1 crank but mostly new parts
1998+ H22A4 new crank with 55mm larger mains.
Other then the crank for the most part H22A4 and A1 parts may be different 'editions', but they all 'fit'.
Maybe something about rocker arms in the newer models as well, but I can't remember
but " Cams, Valvesprings,Retainers,Pistons,Con. Rods?" are all interchageable

as long as all the basics are interchangeable im all good :-D and could any1 tell me the standard bore of a h22? so I know what pistons to get b/c all the pistons I have been looking at are all labled in mm without a application.
Pistons and connecting rods are interchangeable, meaning they will work together, from one year to the next. However, the rods from a 92-96 will not work with the 97 and up H22's because of the press fit vs. floating pin configuration. FYI. They can be machined to fit, but they will not fit without modification to one or the other.

The 5th gen heads have slightly different rockers, something like a thicker surface material, but they are still interchangeable

Type S and Jun pistons will work without re-sleeving. everything else you need to re-sleeve.
What are you planning on building if you dont mind me asking?

I wanna go all motor h22 in a EG. Ima get the 92-95 h22a (jdm) one and pick up the LSD tranny for it and hasport motor mount kit. From there Ima resleave it and get a port and 5 angle. I plan to run JE 11.5 or higher comp. Pistons and Crower Billet Rods. For the the head I wanna run Crower Stage 3 Cams w/ Crower Valvetrain. Let me know what you think. Thanks! I just wanna hit around 220 or so wheel HP.
waste of time...buy a euro-r swap first...11:1 single stage IM, type-s cams...and wicked tranny. does waste more money on sleeving and all that crap

That would be cheaper and be a good platform
for an all motor setup
