Its true, theres no denying it, fwd is a handicap... Ive realized the only place our cars perform well is at the track, on the streets you can kiss street racing good by cuase once you have enough power to win races you wont be able to get traction.. You can kiss highway racing good by cause our 5 speed gears only go up to about 120mph before you reach overdrive, 6speed cars kill us here..
The track is the only time I can decently keep up with a RWD car out of the hole.. i emphasize decently... At the track you only race up to around 100-110mph(most "fast" hondas run these traps) so you actually have a chance against cars like supras and RX7's where on the streets at 120 they will eat you up..
Now for the advantages or positives of FWD when racing- NA
I dont mean to be a downer but I have been thinking alot about this lately(especially after being beat by cars that I potentially can beat)... I know im not the only one who feels this way about our cars.. Im not gonna go buy a RWD 6spd car cause im broke, I like honda-tech too much, I like working on hondas and I like the whole import scene, and I like the people involved with it...
So now to get to the question of the post: what does everyone do about these common problems... I have Z10 radius arms im gonna install soon, and im getting a pair of LS wheels to put drag radials on.. These will help out but I dont think theyll be enough to make up the difference between FWD vs. RWD.. Only thing left I can think of is practice and more practice.. I just dont to wear parts out because of practicing too much.. Are there any real world solutions (no slicks) to improving my cars street and highway capabilities?

Don't think this is what you're looking for, but on the (race)track a FWD car under 2600 lbs or so does not have any real disadvantages compared to similar RWD cars - assuming we're not talking about much over 250hp; unless maybe on standing starts... A relatively light FWD car can be setup to go around corners just as fast as a similar RWD. And you will love your FWD a lot more on any rainy race day.
..for the street, maybe someone else take a stab at it.

RWD cars street car have their limitations too in a street drag race....not as much as FWD though which we should all know by now. I remember racing a mustang that was fairly modded. Long story short, I was driving my bros stock AWD 90 eagle talon tsi. At the stop light this primered mustang with its aggressive exhaust note spewing out unburnt hydrocarbons was revving at me like a rutting tyrannosaurus. I revved the talon also...but all I heard was the mustang. The green light came on and I beat him off the line with him smoking his tires and fish tailing. But before he could catch up and pass me, we hit traffic...hehe. The mullet driver...I mean MUSTANG driver didn't look too happy.
