oil on spark plug, on top of cylindar
I just went out to check my oil, and I noticed that a little oil was coming out of the far right cylindar. I pulled the spark plug and noticed a small amount of oil on the bottom of the plug. What is causing this? Can this damage my car?

then you did something wrong.
then you did something wrong.
I have never removed my valve cover since I've owned the car. There is VERY little amount of oil around the far right cylindar. I also noticed when I pulled that spark plug a little peice of the rubber around the shaft was coming off...
i had the same prob on my old motor. except i would have oil on top of the spark plug and in the cylinder part of the spark plug. anyways, head down to the local dealer and buy 4 of those spark plug "O" rings and get a new valve cover gasket. shouldnt be more than 20 bucks.
If you really don't want to get new o-rings, you can just got to pepboys and get some "blue" silicone gasket maker material. Pull the old rings, clean the oil off them and run a bead of the silicone around them before you put em' back. It's the cheap way out (I guess), I've done it before and it works very well. Also, when I replace anything with a gasket (water pump, thermostat housing valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket) I use the stuff. I haven't ever dripped a drop from anything I've used it on.
the point here guys is that i dont think there is a problem at all. wipe off what little bit of oil there was and put it back in. maybe check it in a few days. if you fear oil leaking from your valve cover down into the spark plug hole then yes replace the O-ring, but from reading what youve posted i dont think you should be worried.
