Suspension Suggestion
Please dont flame about not searching ETC, I have read most of the posts in this section and I am just looking for simple answers. A Friend and I both have EF SI hatches. We are both looking to do our suspensions over and are looking for suggestions. Both of our cars are daily drivers with 60+ mile commutes, so any setup we go with must be drivable. We were both thinking about going with a coil over kits, but due to the fact that these are street cars we thought that might be excessive. We are looking to spend less than $1000 each for shocks, springs/coil over kit. Suggestions?
He has: 1991 SI stock driveline with 195/55/R15 potenzas, Strut bars, Eibachs and Tokicos. His springs are about 6 years old are are beat. Shocks bottom out. both need to go.
I have: 1989 SI turbo LS/Vtec all stock suspension. Still have to buy wheels and tires.
Also, how much stiffer should I go in the front because of the added weight of my drivetrain?
