93 Civic EX: ABS Problem
I'm getting the ABS fault light while driving. Jumpered the diagnostic connector and got trouble code:
4, 4 (Speed Sensor, Rear Right)
In order, recently I have replaced:
1) Front and Rear Pads (June04)
2) Front Rotors (Nov04)
I did not get the ABS light until 3-4 months after I changed out the pads, but before changing the front rotors.
*What can cause this other than the specified fault (Speed Sensor, Rear Right)?
*Can worn out REAR rotors cause this?
*Air in the lines?
Any help is appreciated. Thx.
>>> Is it still okay to drive with having this error (Speed Sensor)?

Take it to a brake specialist like Midas and have your lines bled... Nino...
Also you might want to put your car together before you do this...
Also you can have Pep Boys check out the problem too...

Hey, if you pull the code, you should test that sensor and measure the ohms on it. If you don't know what the speci is look in a repair manual. I would replace that sensor...
Waddup bro.. Didn't know you were on this forum. Anywayz, found out how to get rid of the problem.
I disabled the ABS by pulling out the fuses. Problem gone. Gonna try to isolate down to what exactly is causing this.
Btw, bled the brakes also. No luck. Thx for the replies.
Pep boys dont do ABS. They're scuured...

The Chiltons Manual does not really show how tofix the problem in detail. I guess thats what I get from a $15 manual.
I'll probably just buy the Helms manual next and hopefully it will have the locations and the detailed instructions to troubleshoot this.
