Right Hand Drive Question
Ok, I have an 85 CRX completely stripped down. How hard would it be to convert it to a right hand drive? I want to do this strictly for show and humor. I already cut the roof of and am in the process of cleaning that mess up, reinforcing things and making a cover for where the hatch used to be. From what I can see it shouldn't take much more that moving the steering wheel support and swapping the arms from the steering gear. Am I missing anything? Thanks.
No offense..your missing alot.
1. the fab youd need to do is not worth wile.
2. you would have to fab a dash or pay through the ying yang for a true japanese one(if you can find one)
3. the front clips of the jdm Civic's are totally different in over all detail.
Just trying to warn you. It s worth just buying the front clip, dash and all...

yeah and have fun finding a front clip for those years, the 88-91 is hard enough but hell dude that is going to be way harder to find.

yeah and your pedals and brake MC and booster needs to moved also. Hey i seen a jeep mail car that was RHD and it had the original LHD steering wheel but it was driven from a pulley/belt to the RHD steering wheel.....kinda neat

its actually easier to do with 85's cuz teh subframe actualy aligns, not like the SIR front clips that dont work well on usdm EF cars (the zc and sohc ones do align)...
but yeah good luck on finding one...
