The hondata intake manifold gasket goes between the intake mani and the head. Its a plastic composite material that is supposed to lower intake temps. If you already have the manifold or the head off, then go ahead and get one. otherwise, i wouldent go out of my way.

Also, if you are wanting to do maintanence on the car, get a valve adjustment, check your timing belt for wear. How many miles are on your car and has it had a full tune-up? plug wires?? water pump ? fluid flush and bleed? etc.

Holy **** check your timing belt.

Could save you $1,000+ in repairs if you just do it now.

i believe you can get decent gains if you combine the intake manifold gasket with the coolant bypass mod.. i felt a nice gain after doing both of them, especially at night when the air is cooler.

so did you "feel" a nice gain? or did you get on a dyno and see an actual gain over the powerband ?

Butt-dynos dont count

haha.. ur a funny guy. well thats what i felt butt i don't know what a dyno would feel. i should have a pretty worthwhile dyno coming up by the end of the year with my nextgear thermoshield gasket/coolantbypass mod and custom exhaust setup

do them yourself smart guy

Not only will you save an ASSLOAD on labor and junk that a honda stealership would charge, but you also gain the basic knowledge of changing all your fluids.

Just make sure you got a backup car or a buddy that is willing to take you to the dealership or your local auto parts store for anything you may need during this fun.

Let the dealership do the valve adjustment if you have no idea what you are doing. Are you somewhat car friendly? or are you to afraid/to lazy to do it your self? If you dont think you can handle changing the fluids on your own, let the dealership do it all with OEM fluids and what not. mineke will put some weird *** no name brand tranny fluid and what have you.

thanks for the help: I would do the jobs by myself, but I dont really know wehre to turn, and it might be hard for me to get rides everywhere. Besides that, i am defently eager to learn and peform the maintinance myself, but rn't sure i have the resources to get allt he OEM fluids/ Tools that i would need. How long of a project is the Valve adjustment, and how hard (1-10) would you think it might be?

Could u list all the fluids that need to be changed

EDIT: just found DIY valve adjustment

For valve adjustment, Eaither home make that tool or go buy the snap-on tool. You will also need a feeler gauge, some basic sockets and and wrenches (you might want to let the dealership do this one) You would also probably need a new valve cover gasket and possibly some hondabond.

For the fluid changes, that **** is easy man.

CAUTION!!LET THE CAR COOL FOR AT LEAST 1-2 HRS BEFORE WORKING ON IT!!!

You will need, 5 Quarts of Oil, OEM Honda filter of your choice (S2000, HAMP, whatever) and again basic wrench to get the drain bolt off, and something to catch the oil in. An oil change should be pretty self explanitory. Just make sure to oil up the seal on the new oil filter, and a little bit more than hand tight is fine. Put the drain bolt back in and fill her up. be careful when pulling the drain bolt on the oilpan, the pressure will launch the oil a good distance, causing you to make a nice mess if you dont have the oil catch in the right spot. Have rags handy.

If you just had your Tbelt replaced, they should have done all the fluids, so no need for a coolant or tranny fluid flush. Just change your oil, get some new NGK or OEM spark plug wires, and you should be good.

Remeber, you can get any sort of part/gasket anything from the honda dealership if you get in a bind.

i did an oil change bout 1000K miles ago, i know hwo to do that ****... sparkplugs changed 100 miles ago

I think these r the next maintanence i wil do:
1: fuel filter change
2: tranny fluid flush (snycromesh)
3. valve adjustment

I was thinkin bout repainting my valve cover, so i guess it would be a good time... Maybe i wil buy an additional, then sell the existing one all Stripped and ready for more paint
