Interior light comes on when taking hard left turns. 93 Del sol
Anyone have this problem? It seems like it happens everytime I take a left turn hard. Almost like the door is moving away from the switch and activating the light. Also if I hit hard bumps the light will go on. The door is closed and does not have any movement so I doubt it is that. Maybe a bad ground?

commom problem
when you make the turn, your door is slightly comming off the sensor in the doorjam, reason why it only happens one a left turn and not a right. It would be the passengers side.

Yeah I tried to search but did not know what to really put in for search terms. I will check out the screws. I figured it was something with the right door, IE only goes on with left turns.

mine does the same thing in turns and also when i am going out of my driveway which is at a huge slant. I always thought it was the body/frame flex?

I used to have the same problem. What I did was open the door and move the door latch in about a 1/4 of an inch. Problem solved.

huh i never get it when i go around corners. but when i go in to parking lots at an angle when its real steep my dome light turns on. i always just thought it was a bad ground.

Yup!!...mine did the same thing. I took off the rubber covers and put some paper in the tip for a temp fix. This is only like 13 bucks at the dealership. Just replace it.
