okay..i painted my chrome trimming that goes around the window...i have a 97 accord...and i used this bumper coating which resembles that color of your door moldings...i did a light sand and did about 2 coats...its been through some hot weather here in texas...and its stayed on fine...its been on for almost 3 months now with no chipping or peeling...till now

now that its been raining almost a week straight...i notice a section where the paint is just falling off...i guess its soaked up too much water or something and now its not sticking...what should i do?

repaint and apply clear coat..--would this protect it from absorbing water...?
or just i just strip and then primer the surface...then reapply this bumper coat..?
