I have a ZC sohc and im debating whether to go with 2 inch piping or 2 1/4 for my catback on my magnaflow muffler which has 2 1/4 piping, should i go with 2 1/4 since the muffler is 2 1/4 or is that too big for a sohc? 2 inch or 2 1/4 ?

Between 2-2.25 inch is perfect for a sohc zc..
I hope you plan on putting on a resonator in because straight through mufflers sound raspy on any inline-4 without a resonator....

 

I have a sohc with 2.25 inch piping wit magnaflow muffler res and high flow cat...not my first choice but I was suprised with the non raspy sound it made. resonator

 

go with the 2 1/4" since you already have the muffler.

 

go for the 2.25

 

I would also recommend the 2.25" exhaust as it will give you the right amount of power balanced with a concern for future modifications minus of course forced induction.
