anyone with a itr turbo?
i just finished installling drag gen III on my b18c5 EK. rite now im planning on boosting 5psi for daily driven. i have RC 370 injectors SX 1.1 regualtor holly fuel pump and a vafc.. anyone recommend anything else?? what about a low compression head gasket? rite now i dont have the time or funds to rebuild the bottomend..
my other car is a 98ex it once had this drag kit on it and i blew 3 piston ringlands on the b16a2 stock internal
once i built the whole bottom end.. the darton Sleaves sunk on me..
does anyone know if my b16a2 je pistons will fit my b18c5?? how about the crowder rods?
thanks

I have the HKS headgasket and it works fine. But if you plan on buildin your motor at some point, I would just keep the boost at 5 psi, tune conservatively and save up for internals, etc.
how good are they? inlinepro i heard makes great ones..
i know the best way is to pistons and rods ect.. ive been there done that.. but funds are shourt rite now.. inline pro?

how thick are they? I will be using a 2mm one supplied wit my kit...but my compession will still be be high...i am doing like cr 11:1 now, so it'll probablty take it down to 10's...plus I will be usin 96+ octane fuel.
but anyways, anything thicker than 2mm should be okay. HKS makes a good one and so does Top Fuel. I don't know about inlinepro...

If your not gonna build the motor then I would get the headgasket. I have an HKS and it works fine. I've also heard good things about the inline pro headgasket. I would also recommend a J&S if you are concerned about blowing the motor and want to tune agressively with a good amount of boost...

inline and J&S...humm, get ready to spend around 800 bucks right there....You could've had the bottom end redone again for alittle more than that....
acually i prob wont get teh J&S.. ill prob just go with the gasket for now.. i dont have time any more to tear apart my motor.. and my engine bay on the EK is freshly painted and when i did the swap i put it in soo nicely without any scratches im scared if i take it out and put it back in i might scratch the paint in the bay.

there head gaskets are great....for some reason those guys make cars faster than they should be

i've only been to the track once since i have had this set-up.i had the boost down some just trying to get used to driving it.it is having serious traction problems.just need to work out the bugs.

it's all custom.it started as a drag kit but the only thing left drag is the manifold and it's about to go.

damn...only 196XX miles on my teg and already new race engine

Jeff-
Why would you like to lower your cr with only 5psi of boost? I run 5.5psi with 11,1:1 cr more than 1 year now and I´m currently upgrading the boost to 8psi. This is daily driven.
