help with feild vtec controller

please help me on this. eberytime i shut off my car i lose my settings for the vtec. the afc side is fine and stays memorized. but my vtec xover changes to the base setting? what can i do? has anyone else had this happen to them? how can i fix it?

It has to be wired wrong. mine saves my settings even when I took the battery out
