? 6.5" component system / rear speakers / MP3 ?
1) after several months of research I have concluded that i am going to go with the Infinity Perfect 6.1 Component system. Can someone please give me any opinions they may have towards these components or recommend any suitable candidates to compete with it for its price range ($200 on Ebay
)?
2) I also read somewhere on this forum someone advising someone to take out their rear speakers and just having components in the front.. do some people actually take out their rear speakers and just use ONE component system?? What is the benefit of doing that??
3) One more thingh.. another thing I read on this forum is someone saying they didn't favor MP3.. I have an Alpine MP3 that uses external amps only.. I havent got to put it in yet.. just waiting for the components. My question is, whats the disadvantages of playing MP3 song files versus playing regular 80> minute CD tracks??? My guess would be none unless a certain MP3 file is bad quality or encoded with shittiness. INPUT PLEASE!

for 200 go buy FOCAL ACCESS, they are so so much better. some people do use only front components, i would guess because if you have a small or 2dr car where the speakers are located on the two side of the car instead of in the rear window, than useing 2 front and having the full subs and low freq. in the back is fine, it sounds nice but either way is fine, wont makes much of a differences, i say stick with all 4 channals. and mp3 = bad. haha yeah sound quality is the big issue, when you have a ssytem you want to go for quality, and mp3 will never provide that and also some mp3 players read very slow. it will sound ok when its turn on but if you have amps and **** hook in your ride too, when you turn up the volume you will notice bad distorations.
lol...looks a lot like stuff from my sig.
for the rear speaker debate.

I'll let you decide who you want to belive based on the arguements presented.
for the MP3's. most people love them cause you can have a lot of songs on one cd but depending on the stereo, you will notice a difference in the quality. with the infinity perfects i dont think it should be an issue.
thats basically the pros and cons but again you have to decide whats more important.

1) got no idea. i still advise going to audition a whole bunch of speakers in ur price range.
2) ive only got front components and a sub. when building a car audio system, rear speakers are probably the least important, they are usually used to fill out sound. - although of course, it just depends what u like
3) i havent heard anything really bad about mp3 vs normal cds, except when recording mp3 files, they need to be of high quality, otherwise the playback in the car is less than enjoyable.
