NON VTEC LS B18A/B motors, the best cams is CROWER. Stage 2 will give 15-18 HP part # is 62403
Stage 3 will give over 20 hp. part number is 62404. for a serious full race car the have a stage 4 :62405

I would recommend the 403 or 404's (404s more preferably). im rocking the 403's but will probably switch to 404's after i build my bottom end and swap in a b16 tranny.

when u get these cams u will need to get CROWER valvsprings as well. also high compression pistons will make these cams shine!

Give Rocket Motorsports a call and see what they can do for you. Rocket will grind cams for all sorts of things.

I have the Exospeed LS909's and i love them. I dont think theyre gonna be enough for you though. I would prolly go with 404's if i were you....you dont really have the CR to justify 405's. But thats just my opinion. I say you should get some rollerwaves and throw in some 405a's...sure itd be a bitch to drive on the street...but that thing would haul ***

you have the compression to build for the 404's. 403's are for daily driving and if you have the right mods done then they can go pretty good. i say go with the 404's cause of the ctr pistons but the valve springs and retainers are a must so u can take the redline higher. i also suggest new rods because the stock rods dont take very kindly to 8000 rpm redline frequently.

with my buddys lsvtec he took his stock ls rods all the way to 10000 all year long and for 2 seasons they are still good, with teh crt pistons the CR is high enough right? i really want to make good power so i was leaning towards the 405's as long as i use crower valve train and build a solid head

im puttin the 403's in my ls and many people on this site have told me to go with different rods just to be safe. it wont run you to much. you dont have to put in new rods but its just a suggestion.

I have heard nothing but really good things about the crowers on non-vtecs, as far as rods go w/ that setup you could prob get away w/ shotpeening yours but if you can stretch for a set of forged rods you'd be golden

Are going all out or is this a daily driver?

if it's see n street time them defintily stay away from the 405's. **** will be loping like a bitch and proably will be idling at 1500! highest i would go is the 404's. make sure u get the car tuned after the install. i had 403's in my car for about 2 months now and still untuned. gonna tune it after i install PR3 pistons. gas mileage sucks as hell right now untuned.

im not gonna shotpeen my rods. also wont be reving it past 7K. i should be able to get away without shotpeeing the rods right?

turbo is usaully faster and u get more HP for the money. but not alot of people build all motor LS's. be different from the rest of the VTEC dudes. it's even better when u spank a GSR or LS/VTEC with a built LS. with cams and pistons and other goodies and tuning, u can geta LS to run low 14's in an integra shell with interior. put the same LS in a hatch and it will be pulling 13's all day

As itsallmotor said. This is a really good thread!!! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=818820
B18b is great for all motor. You can get some fairly respectable power out of one.
