Default Car Stolen, then Recovered...and now pics 56k at your own risk

http://www.wisinfo.com/sheboyg...shtml

A 2000 Honda Civic was stolen and stripped of its aftermarket parts overnight in Sheboygan on Sunday, Capt. Jim Tetzlaff of the Sheboygan Police Department said.

The car, owned by a 20-year-old man, was taken from the 4300 block of Morningview Court, on the city’s far south side, sometime between 1 and 10 a.m. and stripped of its carbon fiber hood, two bucket seats, racing wheels and engine parts.

“Apparently somebody wanted his goodies,” Tetzlaff said of the aftermarket parts, worth between $5,000 and $6,000.

In all, the car was worth about $11,000.

The owner reported the car stolen at 10 a.m. Sunday, after he discovered it was missing from the location where he had last parked it at 1 a.m. The car was recovered at 2 p.m. in a cemetery in the 3900 block of South 12th Street, after someone reported seeing a suspicious vehicle there.

According to Tetzlaff, the thieves broke the car’s window, pulled the ignition system apart and hotwired it.

“There’s a lot of damage to the vehicle as a result of being stolen and stripped,” Tetzlaff said.

The car is impounded but will be returned to its owner in a couple of days, once police have completed inspecting it for evidence.

Though no one has been arrested, Tetzlaff said traces of evidence have been left behind.

So they just took the cf hood, wheels, seats, head unit, and sidemarkers? At least they left you with your motor, intake, headlights, bumper, gauge cluster, speakers, and other things. Sorry to hear about the stolen car, but i think you got lucky with all the parts still intact. What are your plans with the car now? I hate theives!

Thieves are teh uber gayness. Sucks ***, but if you look around there are a lot worse. I just got a notice on my door today that there were about 15 cars broken into on sunday night/monday morning in my apartment complex, all but about 2 were unlocked, and they were convertibles which got the tops cut. Now is the time all of those piece of **** thieves strike hard because they are too worthless to work, and I guess want to give their piece of **** families christmas presents. Everybody watch out for yourselves, and each other.

<~~~believes thieves should have their frickin hands cut off.

tks guys.......i definately agree I'm in a very good situation per the circumstances....Was just about to put it away for the year and do the security....i've only had these parts on a few months seats about 3 weeks..I wasn't gonna invest in a shady Circuit City alarm that they would've bypassed....I'm not sure if i'm rebuilding or not.....at least get stuff back in order..then maybe return it to stock since I have every part of it...maybe sell it and keep engine for a cheap CRX just to rip around in...but I don't think I'll invest as much as I did...maybe get somethin..but i know i'll just end up moddin if I'd get a WRX or EVO or any other import
