Alright, I see this is your first post, so welcome... Also, before the search ***** get on you, I will point out to you the "search" button in the upper right hand portion of the screen...

This topic you may want to search more in the archives rather than recent topics.

I myself am in the process of building a turbo b20/vtec motor.

Considering you already have an LS integra, swapping a B20 in would be very easy, because just about eveyr part you'd need, you already have.

as far as price, check out the classifieds, or do a search and find a good engine swap company... Most engine swap companies dont sell complete B20 swaps, because you really can't use any CRV tranny in your Integra, because of the quazi-awd system honda uses.

that's a little bit of info for you... but do the search and find out even more.

thanks- what do you think, would it be better to swap to a b20 or turbo an lsv-tech? C im trying to save my totalled ls with the vtech, the engine is still good, radiators dented, the only thing i really lost is a/c and the front end conversion(not a big loss). would it be cheaper to try to turbo it or is the b20 really better? To be honest i don't even know much, and i am a girl(shh...dont tell anyone j/k) but i'd like to get as much input as possible. iwas actually told the b20 was better, but if you do the technics right with my lsvtech it could be just as good or so i've heard.

I was told that vtech and turbo work against each other, yeah it'll be fast but it also won't be an everyday car with both v-tech and turbo, correct me if im wrong , also i tried the search, either im doing it wrong or im doing it wrong, and im probably doing it wrong. but anyway say i want off the line fastness, and cop can't catch me fastness, but also the reliable everyday car that doesn't require everyday maintnence, im just looking for some good advice-i appreciate all the input, even though i haven't gotten much

I'm doing that swap right now. It's a great motor for the integra, albeit a little lacklustre in power in the top end.

trust me, search this one out.
There's a ton of info.

vtec and turbo most certainly do NOT work against each other.... as far as reliability is concerned, it all depends on the quality of your ls/vtec build (whether or not you upgraded headstuds, whether or not you built up your bottom end (bottom end meaning pistons, rods, etc...), etc...

If I were you I'd just go strait ls turbo. Your ls engine, the b18b, is an EXCELLENT motor to turbo. With only about $2.5K in turbo parts your car will ****** scream (it'll pretty much be faster than any un-modded car out there) AND it will be reliable, as long as you don't cheep out on engine management/ tuning.

Peep the Forced Induction (FI) forum on this site, there are some people here who know about all there is to know about turbo'ing a car. Also, There are TONS of writeups regarding turbo VS. non-turbo cars, and which are better....

If you're having issues with searching, go to "search help" for some tricks of the trade

Also, it's VTEC and not VTECH..... people here will flame the **** out of you if you screw it up
VTEC is an acronym... it stands for Variable Valve Timing and Electronic lift Control, or something to that effect...

*go turbo*
