dent help removal...
ok so i have a fairly nice sized in my rear quarter panel (300$ worth)......im gonna attempt to pull it out, fill it in with bondo or something (GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS), sand it down then get it painted.....just wanted to know if anyone has ever done it and how it came out.....i need some DIY info....made a search and got nothing. thanks for the help!!
Yes pics would help. If you dont know what your doing it wont look perfect (unless maybe you have a white or primered car).
Depending on how big the dent is we usually grind down the area where the dent is use our dent puller to pull the dent as close as possible to its original shape. Then shrink the metal if necessary to tighten up the metal. Because whenever you get a dent youve stretched your metal.
Then put a light coat of bondo filler. Always make sure there is no paint under area to be bondo'ed. Most DIY'ers just put it over paint and thats why it cracks. Sand with a long block then primer. Sand again with 400-600 grit paper and prep for paint.
