Default LS motor in an itr?

I know it sounds crazy, but what if I had a complete b18b longblock and wanted to fit it into an itr?

What changes would I need to make?

I need to know everything - wiring, ecu, sensors, etc.....

Wrong forum.. try Hybrid... ban!

But seriously-- I bet they would know more about this swap (err, the reverse swap)

Can I ask a silly question.... why? Turbo LS or LS/VTEC?

Also-- you might want to consider an LS tranny or your gearing on the highway will be atrocious...

It would be a straightforward change...

Drop in the engine, switch the ECU...

It would be nice to have an LS engine harness, but the ITR would work. The LS distributor is a little different so you'd need one unless you wanted to hack up your ITR one.

Yep no wiring or mechanical changes needed. That is provided you have the engine harness. Otherwise the distributor will be slightly different as stated above.

when I went from GSR to B20, I reused the alternator, dizzy, and fuel rail/line in order to complete the swap. For ecu, I found a cheap OBD1 PR4, and it all worked great. I tuned it to 140whp/130lbs with minor Hondata and cam gear tuning. It was a blast of a car to drive, now it's sold.

.....hehe, well let's just say it'd be fun to boost on an LS motor.

Also, I need something in the car so I won't have any downtime while the k20R swap is on the way...

hmm, does that sound right? 140 out of a b20 with minor hondata? was that w/a vtec head or no?

Gripes....you have some serious plans to play then huh? That swap shouldn't be too hard at all, as everything should be plug and play providing that you have the harness and ecu i would imagine..

Erik95LS has an LS motor sitting around collecting dust..

Dude, I am so confused. Do you have 2 cars? What happened to boosting the B18C5? Where'd this K20R come from?

Poof! (Head a sploded)

if your LS still has the wiring harness and its obd1 plug in the harness at the shock tower and get a obd2-obd1 harness and get a obd1 ls computer.

if the swap is obd2, just plug in the tower harness and get a obd2 ls ecu.

I already have a spare LS motor sitting around. Thanks for the suggestion on where to get one though! I just need to see which obd version mine is.....

Yeah, I still have my black itr, and my itr powered EF...

Also found a jdm 98 itr locally that should be in the stable very soon, so yes I have my hands full of projects.....!

So I take it I could run my ls motor off my hondata? At most it sounds like I *might* need a different distributor.....? Noice!

Well, instead of posting this dumb reply, perhaps you should have spent the time reading his posts where he answered that.
