Need info on a H22 swap into my '95 civic
I'm rather new at this whole hardcore car stuff so bare with me if I say something stupid.
I have a '95 Civic EX Coupe that I think need a wee bit more power. I have some friends that say the H22 is the best way to go as it is there favorite out of all their B series they have had in the past. I have been reading through and agree that the added torque gained is well worth the larger size from the B series. Also the cost seems to be a bit less...not counting mounts.
What I am asking for is some possible info to get me going. I have looked on hmotorsonline.com at engines, as well as searched through this site for info. Where can I find detailed info on what mounts needed, what all I need, and what it will run me in the full long run. So any info you can supply on where to find reliable engines for decent prices, swap walk-throughs?, and any other info would be great!
I do have quite a bit experiance with cars, I have ripped them apart, put them back together, replaced everything you can think of, just never done a swap quite like this one... thanx.

Mounts are the easy part of the swap. There are basically two different kinds that most (not everyone) people use. Hasport and HCP. I have a 94 civic hatch with an h22a4. I used the HCP mounts because i got a good deal on them and talked to people that actually have them in their cars. Depending on where you buy the hcp mounts are about 200 bux less than the hasport mounts and every bit as good.
Wiring is very straight forward.
I would go with the jdm h22a instead of the usdm only because of the .5 higher compression. gives you an extra 10hp and 5 lbs/tq. Not much but every bit helps.
hope i answered what you were asking. If not just pm me and ill be glad to help
