Agreed.
Is your Prelude carb'ed? I doubt it....

OBX stuff has gotten A LOT better over the course of this last year... Their diff's are an unbelievable bang for buck as are their IM's and turbo manifolds (not talking about the SS Autochrome pieces of shhh)
Im not a fan of their choice in materials fortheir cams but other than that the profiles seem to be right on par with the rest of the industries top cams... I personally wouldnt run OBX cams (I get custom grinds, with AWESOME cores) but for those who are on a budget they may be a good choice.

i thought throttle body spacers only work if you match all the sizes up to increase airflow. that is your intake piping, the spacer bore, and your actual TB bore.
i put a helix power spacer on my prelude and it was a total peice of crap! the cars rpm surged from 1000-3000 rpm up and down and would not stop, they said the car needed a fuel pressure regulator too much air and not enough fuel...once you got the car going it would run ok, i think it lost power, the vtec was not as loud coming in, i had it on for about 2 hours and sent it back to them. with that spacer on and taking the filter off the intake pipe would suck the skin of your hand into the pipe it was sucking in so much air! but the power and performance was a joke......don't buy a str throttle body either they are TRASH and are not a direct fit
like i said before in other threads. these guys tend to quote the max power gains seen on fully built motors that are usually tuned in order to get max results out of the object they are testing

first off, whoever told you the idle bounce was from a fuel issue is an idiot and doesnt know what theyre talking about, that was from you hooking something up wrong on the tb, some vac or IACV problem, not the spacer.....
secondly.....str makes some of the best stuff on the market, im not quite sure what happened with you, but their stuff is the shiznit....

So right! It was not because of the spacer. Maybe you did not install it right. Had some air leak or something else. I bought one of those Helix Spacer for my '96 accord. After I totalled the car, I moved it to my '99 Prelude, perfect fit. I did not feel noticable gain or increase in gas mileage, but the car runs lil bit smoother. Had no problem at all. I had it almost like 4 years since the day I bought it.
