Default Tips on cleaning my engine bay?

I Just got a 97 ex and the owners wernt big car people so the engine bay has a nice layer of dirt and dust on just about every thing... I put my intake on it tonite and you wouldnt believe the crap that came out!
So what should i use to wash it? My friends have been telling me pressure washer, but i dont know if that would hurt it at all.
Any ideas?

Search the archive for 'clean engine bay' - lots and lots of topics.... mostly involving simple green or gunk engine degreaser.

One suggestion I have to clean out the internals is Sea Foam. Do a search on it, there are a ton of threads about it. It's great stuff.

As for cleaning the engine bay, there are a lot of options. Simple green, fast orange and a nice stiff brush, a pressure washer..... No matter what you do just be sure to cover and seal all of the electrical stuff. There a bunch of threads about this topic too.

If it is really dirty, spray some simple green and then let it set for a few minutes. Then pressure wash it off.
