Nice "Jacques Villeneuve" start! That was a pretty eventful first lap!

Wow!

That's a great video. That's the first time I saw outside footage of me spinning. Looks like you got pretty close.

As for the S2K being underpowered, you can see for yourself how much ground you made up at the start. I would have been passed like I was standin still if you started next to me.

The S2 is the heaviest car out there and we are required to run stock brakes. It doesn't make it much fun if you run out of brakes towards the end of the race. Power wise, we are down considerably compared to the K motors and the B series. The only thing we have is the tire.

Anyway, it was a fun race and I'll try to have my video up soon!

Dave,

it was really close. If you would have stopped spinning a second earlier, I might have hit you. Glad it didn't came out that way.

How much HP does your S2K made? In addition of the tire, the chassis is still the best chassis to have in HC.

Nice start Andrie! Car looks VERY strong! Hopefully I can give you some grief next season!

David,
Does not make a very strong case for needing a rule change when you are winning races!
Maybe if the brakes we actually killing your lap times near the end of the race, and totally preventing you from winning, then you could get the rule changed. But when your fastest lap is near the end of the race at BW, well, seems like the brakes are holding up!

I understand your point about having to change them all the time though. Much more than anyone else!

But I tend to think if the S2k got anything else changed, it would not be competetive, it would be dominating!
Andrie is right, the S2K is definitly the best chassis in the class right now!

Hopefully I can give you some grief next season as well..

Stop winning races, so you can get the rule changed!

Yeah, just wait till you see Sam's in car. WOW, I can't believe he didn't hit you. It was a very close call on his vid! Amazing how fast the car just "stepped" on you!

Good luck to both of you in the 05 season!

Tom, we missed you. When are you going to join us again?

I consider the contact between me and Ryan as two agressive driver fighting hard. No significant damage to both cars, so it is no big deal. My car is too nice anyway, time to have battle scars

Shhhhh... Don't say that to loud Andrie. You want to keep in that way for as long as you can. That just may give people excuses to put a bit of there paint on your car! Then they would say, "but, he asked me to put a battle scar on there to add to his growing collection"

You planning on doing a few socal races next season? I am definitly gonna come up to norcal and play!

nice vid. certainly a podium finish if no mechanical DNF. any clues on why the axle breakage?

slickrick: did you get bumped? can't tell from the video.

We have theory on why the axle broke. But we need to gather all the right data before making any assumptions. However, this bring up a good news, that HASport has step up and will help us on the axles for the future! Yay!

David didn't get bumped.

hey Andrie wasup its misha (white EG)
that was such a great race to watch. i was up in the tower watching and rooting for you. but alas broken axles dont work very well. too ad it would have been a close finnish im sure. i hope to see you at the track more next year and learn by watching. great video by the way. made it a lot easier to see what happened with the s2k. i wasnt exactly sure what happened until i saw the video.
i can also show my friends now who have no clue what i do at the track, what its all about. and also what track i exactly did.

cool man
misha

Geez, for a relatively new track, Buttonwillow sure is rough. What are those potholes, delaminating asphalt? Like driving on poorly maintained back roads. I was going to do shake-down testing of my car there... maybe Streets of Willow would be better...

define new? Streets is a pretty bumpy track too, slower speeds and doesn't have as many "different" types of turns for suspension tuning like buttonwillow. (buttonwillow is my fav track in so cal)
