Buttonwillow Race Recap?
So nobody is posting any video? Great racing all up until Turn 1... Felt like I did all the work getting the car finished for a drag race.
Well there is a new french term for being "kiwi-ed" Its now translated into french as being "Benny-ed". Well I guess when the French do things they take a few with them...., myself and Joe Landry.
We had a real scramble getting my car done with all the electrical gremlins. Huge thanks to Justin Wesseling!!!!! Also to Hassport and Brian at Afterhours Automotive. Not stating all this for sponsorship, although I am open to that... Just good people doing a lot to help out!!!

Re: Buttonwillow Race Recap?
It was an epic race on Sun between Manny, Greg, and Joe. I hope some video of it gets posted.
I don't have video from Sat because my camera didn't get switched on at Grid! Would have been pretty boring anyway.

Naw I just couldnt catch the flyin frenchman. My brakes were not right the whole weekend, and I had to brake a car or two earlier than I wanted everywhere and that was my downfall. It's like the three little bears...I wish someone made some brake pads that are just right.

Looked like you were getting closer...
What pads are you using that arent "just right"?
I switched out my hawk blues for the HT-10's
the old ones were crumbling on the inner most part of the pad.
4.5-5mm left on them so they were about done IMO.
Where has ol Renan been anyway.
It's like he fell off the face of the earth.
He still owes me a Mfactory shirt and rice cooker!

Re: Buttonwillow Race Recap?
Oh....I saw the smoking french man. I saw he got a great start! And he was coming down the inside. I left room for all of us to go three wide into turn 1. Most likely, Landry would have been the one to run out of track... But then all I heard was brake lock up... for a really long time.... Then the pitt maneuver.
Benny man... I know you are better then that and crap happens in racing. Just try to be more on par with your usual driving. We aint running karts or open wheels cars where deep braking into Turn 1 will result in high yielding outcomes. Or just try to deal with the space given and run with me through the corner. You know we have done it at Willow!
Sam, love the video mix!
Well, thanks to Justin and Kiwi... I may get the car finished up for next weeks private event at Willow on Oct. 21st. Please let me know if any of you want to come out. Track will be open all day. Cost should be approximately $300. We are just renting the track and splitting it by the number of drivers.

What about the "Tom Paule" rule? Isn't Benny responsible for the first $1000 of yours and Landry's repairs?
Kenny, we missed you at dinner at Willow Ranch, I'm confident we figured out who put the yellow turd on "Benny Hill" - Flaherty! What a genius move by him - got the Frenchman to blame everyone but the Irish Car Bomber himself. Then again, Benny spent the whole weekend blaming everyone else, so he had to have figured it out by now - he's not that sharp, but the "power" of the process of elimination should have made things obvious by 5pm Sunday (or was it Gene and Mearle!?!?!?! THOSE ********!!!!)
As for me owning up to my pranks... if you found a golf ball in the door of your race car this weekend - that was compliments of the AEM parking lot - FORE!!!!!

Re: Buttonwillow Race Recap?
Paule, I should have know the golf ball was you!!!
The only reason I found it was I need to borrow a shop vac after qualifying. Guess the rain didn't do much to compact the run off areas.
In pre-grid prior to the race, I think a few guys were pulling out golf ***** with confused expressions..... Classic!
