Default 2002 Audi S4

I have been thinking about getting one of these as a replacement for my ITR. I may keep the R and just get this as my daily driver though. Anybody have any insight on these vehicles. I love everything about them but not having owned an Audi before, would like some feedback from you guys. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you~

It's not cheap as far as i know. If you got money, it will be a hot car to own.

I would not say it's a replacement or substitute for an ITR but merely a good car that does a bunch of stuff well.

Search and I found...

i suggest you take the advice you get here and go test drive one because that's what it will come down to if you purchase the car.

I sold my type R and got an A4. Loved it. Just recently was in an accident and thik the car will be totaled. If so I am picking up an 01 S4. If you are willing to travel a couple hours you can find some good prices. I am looking to drive about 3 hours to pick up the one I want.

the s4 is a wondeful car. the 280hp twin turbo 5 cylinder or the 348hp v8 both models are fun cars. the 4 wheel drive system is one of the best on the market.

the only downside is that it is stolen as frequently as the ITR or even more than.

i must warn you the ITR is very nimble and light, the s4 is heavy and isnt as nimble when pushed to its limits.

Thanks for your info guys.
I have been in an S4 before but have not driven one yet.
Guess I'll take the advice and go test drive one.
I've searched online for them and found most of them are tiptronic, found a beautiful white one that I would seriously consider buying only if it was manual...
So hard to find exactly what your looking for now days...

my brother just sold his '00 S4 and bought a WRX. I loved the S4. I dont think you'll find another audi as nice on the inside as well the outside. My brother NEVER wanted to sell it. The problem with audis is when the fall out of warranty, their expensive as **** to fix. So my brothr had no choice but to sell it after fixing the trans TWICE. (clutch and syncros) Its and awesome car but you've got to have the cash to fix it

BTW: my brother's S was black with white leather interior. Apr chip, downpipes, forge bypass valves. UUC exhaust, etc. ....i miss it
