Default NO B.S. STRAIT PIPE CURED MY PROBS.

sup, let me start from the begining. My sig tells you my setup. Well before the install my car use to idle like crap, fluctuating from 600rpm-1100rpm, not a vaccum leak type fluctuating but like a break booster type problem. High speeds the car would shake, wasn't a solid feel in the handling. My pasengers use to almost crap they pants because if felt like the the body was gonna fall of the frame.Well over the weekend I installed a 2.5 in catback exhaust and my 2.5 in resonated test pipe. Now the car idles dead on 900rpm. High speeds the car feels solid as hell. Not to complain, just curious why the drastic change in everything. Someone told me that I might of had a bad cat from the beginning.

Wow, a B20 revving to 11,000? Damn. Is that stock bottom end?

If the cat is REALLY clogged i guess it can restrict the exhaust too much and cause reversion. to fixing stuff.

What would HT be without ******** like us, besides an educational and worth while forum that people could get useful information on without risk of ridicule and public humilation?

i got a b20/vtec in mine too and it hasnt been running right since install, might see if that putting a straight pipe in might be my problem too. sounds like my cats clogs sometimes so that might helps. i mostly just have a problem with pick up. car doesnt pick up that well as it should.

is the head, or block built? Mines starts pulling at 3.5K-4K when it hits vtec at pulls like a mad man. Definately get a free flowing cat if not a straight pipe and some bigger piping, b20/vtecs need to flow. It made a **** load of a difference for me.
