Default mini me vs. auto to manual z6?

pls help. i have a 91 civic si. i want vtec, and not dohc. i recently purchased a d16z6 head and intake mani, for a mini me swap. while calling local junkyards for parts, i stumbled upon a 93 civic si engine complete with ecu, everything for 650cdn!! what should i do? my a6 would need new bearings, rod bolts, and piston rings which is a lot of work for me, not to mention the obd1 conversion and buying the rest of the parts for the mini me. so for 650, would it be better to just get the complete engine instead or should i build the mini me. also, i would use my 91 si tranny, but the engine is auto, i would need a different ecu, correct, what else? (the engine was from a woman nurse so it's not bagged, it had a tranny problem, so she just swapped a y8 in there) what should i dooo!!!

p.s. do i use the same axles from my 91?

I would go ahead and swap in the Z6. It appears that you would have to do some internal work to your A6, so you would be better off just dropping in the Z6. You will need an OBD0-OBD1 conversion harness, as well as a 5 speed ecu. You can reuse your axles. IMO, get the complete Z6 and sell the Z6 head you currently have.
