I don't know why they have #1 on there. I'd hate to get under the NSX right after driving it hard and have hot oil pour out and splash onto you. After running the car hard, it gets pretty hot on the sides and underneath the car. That, and when you run the motor oil goes all over the engine and lubes everything. When it's cold and sits around, all of the oil has sunk to the pan and will all drain out.

When it is cold, it is less viscous. I think the idea behind this is that more oil will drain out when it's warm.
