HELP WITH B16 PROBLEM!
i was having a problem with my B16A swap. i put in a few weeks ago and for some reason it was having a over heating problem. we have replaced the water pump on it as well as the thermostat. is there anything else i should take into consederation? also since its a JDM motor what USDM car have the same parts. thanks for the help. Could it be the thermostat that i put in? i put in a 99 civic B16 thermostat.

search dude... search.
no USDM car has the same motor as the JDM peice you have installed.
the closest you'll find is a b16a2(civic si/sir) or a b16a3(del sol) an possibly the b17a(gsr)
overheating: it might be a clogged radiator, get a flush done.

Thats more than likely your problem, check to make sure your fan fuses didnt blow, i think there is 2 fuses for the fan, one under the dash and one on the fuse box under the hood, my car would over heat and it turned out i blew a fuse, check to make sure you have the fans hooked up right, if thats all hooked up right, your thermoswitch on the back of the block is possibly bad.
Did you just do the swap or is this a new problem and you have had the swap for a while.

ive never seen my fan come on and i have never come close to overheating. sounds like air in the system or could be the wrong thermostat. i just replaced mine to day and i got one for a 94 del sol v-tec. i don't know if the one you used will work or not
how can you see your fan while driving around? trust me your fan will come on, doesnt always come on while idling even if you let it sit for 10 minutes it might not come on, but if you drive it around for a little bit, then pull over and pop the hood, your fan should be running
what brand of thermostat are you using...alot of the aftermarket ones do not work correctly in hondas...don't know why. i've had to replace a few dozen for this reason and i only use factory honda ones
Just test the fan. I bet thats it. And just for ***** n giggles. When its overheating do you just drive it anyway to see if it'll cool down?
II've heard people say "my car has been overheating for days" then i ask if they keep on driving when its at max temp... they say "yes, because its still running".

make sure you know which motor you got.....I had the unfortunate task of going through dealerships and Hardware stores for my XSI...b/c the closest things.....(Si, Del sol) didn't even come close....mix and match was my friend. Hopefully you get lucky and find a consistent pattern.
