Default Is ANR header a little too much????

I was just wondering if the ANR compact header makes good power on all cars, I know some headers are overkill for certain setups. I am considering trying one out but I was going to see what you guys think. I got 177 to the wheels with the JDM ITR header that I am currently running, would the ANR be a noticable improvement? Thanks guys.

Heres my current setup:
Stock GSR block
ITR head
S2 stage 2 cams w/str gears
S2 valvetrain
JG manifold
JG throttle body
Iceman intake
Mugen head gasket
AEM fuel rail/regulator
V-AFC w/stock ECU

Those numbers seem a bit low. Skip the whole AN-R deal and go get a Toda header. With that you will see some nice gains!

Yea I've heard that the ANR makes better power than TODA, i've heard nothing but good about them. But would it incorporate well with my setup????

Yeah, An-r custome makes all their headers and im sure if u called them up and told them your setup they could make it to suit your setup.

on a mildly modified gsr motor, weve seen our headers make 7-8 whp over aported jdm itr header. this is of course our merge collector.
our street collector makes about 5whp more then the ported jdm itr.

Yea I've seen your website and I was wondering the difference in the merge collector and the street collector, sorry I'm not familure with these differences. Also do you have to get your own flange made I'm guessing? Thanks again

our headers do not come with a flange. you will have to get one welded on yourself after installation.

. i'm buying one of the merge collector/standard headers simply because i have a friend who put one of these bad boys on his car and made 9whp gain over
dc 4-1 with 2.5 flange ... and he has half the amount of work done as the setup listed ....

an-r is not overkill it's the way you should do it , esp. if you can't afford somthing like smsp or hytech ....

why worry so much about the price ---- with the cars we drive and the money we spend on them why worry about 50/100 difference in a header if one is trully better then the other

Your compression is much too low to run those cams. Stock block with itr head is gonna yield less compression than a stock gsr motor. I would seriously consider dropping in some pct pistons if you're gonna keep those camshafts, try to get as close to 12.1 as possible.

I am very surprised to see people saying the ANR makes power over the Toda, never heard that before....any dyno charts to back this??

AN-R =

Make sure you get a stainless steel version and not the mild steel.

Would the ANR still be better than the Toda in a 1.6 application?? I'm still kinda questioning that...

AN-R will out flow any DC or ITR header, the guys numbers are low because the block is stock and with ITR head matted to it...that lowered compression off the start.
