someone enlighten me please
Merge is a lot better, its an actuall controlled merge of the 4 primaries... the stamp collector, or "street" collecotor is a basic dump for all 4 prmiaries to collect into one area... Ill try and find some pics to illistrate what I am trying to say...
Heres a post from Dave Stadulis...

Here's a good cutaway view of a merge collector

And in this kit you can see a formed collector, which is made from a single piece of tubing with no welding invloved.

not trying to ***** this thread but here is a picture of an AN-R compact header with merge collector(much nicer) that my friend is selling. Wish I could afford it right now it's a damn good deal, no wait, and it's already coated!

an AN-R representative said that it would only make about a 2-3whp difference on a mild setup such as ITR cams. But it would make a big difference for race setups..

Hey thats our collector
. A properly designed merge collector will offer great performance gains when properly designed to the specific application. It's not a one size fits all deal. As stated before a merge collector is a controlled convergence. If the collector is sized correctly and the car tuned properly, great horsepower potential is possible. For more information on merge collectors please visit our website listed below.

i bought mine, because i like the design. the rep for an-r did respond to the post, it sounds promessing. i just hope mine don't break, it would be a shame if it did!
