Default Rear Mount Bracket

I was wondering if its possible to put the rear mount bracket back into the car with the motor already in. I've been having a ton of trouble getting it in. I already have the rest of the mounts in place and bolted up. I don't really want to pull the motor back out but if I have to, I will. I just wanna know if its possible to put it in after the motor is in. Thanks. Peace

i always drop it in when the head is off the car. see if you can squeeze it in from the crank side of the engine.

I've tried to squeeze it in on the crank side, but it wont go. Theres two hoses in the way that is blocking it from going over all the way. One isn't in the way, but its blocking the other hose. Theres only a small amount that if has to move.

They are really hard to get off. I dont know how long they have been on there. Is there anyway to get them off or something to put on them to loosen them up. I tried for over an hour last time to get them off. I got the clamps from around them but could not detach them from the firewall. Thanks

well, you can figure that out or pull the head. your choice. That is if thats the only way to get it in. Anyone else know of a way?

i changed my rear mount with the motor in. you have to remove all the brackets on the motor and then find a creative way to losen the old bolts and tighten the new ones. move all the dumb little stuff that is in the way. my da engine bay doesnt have anything in it but an engine so this was a little easier for me. good luck.

yea...1st time i did a swap i forgot to put the rear bracket in until the engine was in, lol.

But all i did was take off the front mount, took off tranny mount, loosened drivers side mount and lifted it with a hoist and just kinda moved the motor around until i could squeeze the rear bracket in there. worked for me.

That's probably what I'm gonna have to do. Take the other mounts loose and lift the motor with the hoist or a jack. I won't be able to try it out until like Thursday though.
