Here is a write up I done quite a while back. In step 18 there is an easier way of doing that step but its 430 a.m. and I haven't messed with this write up in a year or so...lol Other than that, have fun.
Dash Removal
Tools needed:
Sockets 10mm, 12mm, 19mm
6 inch ratchet extension
Phillips screwdriver long and short
Needle nose pliers
Tape to mark wires
Gloves
Estimated time: Less than 1 hour
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the steering wheel and steering column cover.
a. Carefully pry the Honda emblem off the steering wheel.
b. Use a 19 mm socket with extension to remove the steering wheel nut. Set aside
c. Remove the two phillips screws from under the column cover. Squeeze the plastic together and carefully pry it apart.
NOTE: Removing the steering wheel and column cover is not absolutely necessary, however, it makes the removal of the dash a little easier. In my opinion it’s well worth it.
3. Remove the fuse panel cover.
Remove the gauge cluster housing,
a. Remove the two phillips screws from under the cluster cover, with a small screwdriver, flip the two covers on the topside of the cluster housing and remove the two phillips screws.
b. Slide the cluster cover out slightly, then push the switches (4 way signal, dash light dimmer switches) out. This will allow you to remove the plugs from the switches a little easier. With the 4 way and dimmer switches unplugged this will allow you to pull the cluster cover out more to unplug the final switch on the left side from the rear.
4. Remove the 4 phillips screws from the gauge cluster. This will allow you to slide it out enough to be able to unplug the 3 plugs and the speedometer cable from the back of the gauge cluster.
5. Removal of the center console.
a. Remove the **** ****.
b. There are 6 screws, 3 on each side that will need to be removed. One of the screws on the right side is behind the glove compartment door.
c. Once the screws are removed, release the E-brake and sliding the shift boot up, lifting the center console up and out.
6. Remove the 4 screws holding the stereo and ashtray in place. Slide out, unplugging the stereo and the cigarette lighter.
7. Now comes the delicate part. Take your time and be extremely patient or you will easily break the climate control.
a. From under the dash disconnect the temp control cable; from under the hood remove the temp control cable (I’ll look up the correct names later). Pull the control cable through the firewall.
b. Disconnect the 3 wire plugs from the back of the climate control.
c. Remove the bracket from underneath the climate control (phillips screw).
d. Now remove the 3 face plate screws. Being extremely careful (act like you are handling a bomb, no kidding) and lower the back of the climate control first so it looks like the control is tilted upwards. This will allow you to slide the CC down under the support bracket.
8. Remove the 10mm bolt in the bottom of the center frame support.
9. Remove the 2 phillips screws from the underside of the glove compartment hinge. You can also use an 8mm socket for this.
10. Remove the two side vents. This can be a pain as these are the plastic type screws. You may need to pry them from behind as you try to unscrew them, then just pull those out. This will reveal a 10mm bolt, remove. You will do this on both sides of the dash.
11. Back under the dash where the glove compartment “was," there is a support bracket that goes across. On the right side of this bracket there are 2 bolts, remove the one on the top right and this will free up the right side of the dash.
12. Remove the bolt (12mm with extension) that is in the top center of the dash. Using a small screwdriver pry the cover up and off. Remove the 12mm bolt.
13. Back under the dash on the left side, looking up toward the fuses, you will see another 10mm bolt holding the dash, remove it.
14. While here, reach up behind the sunroof and rear defroster switches and unplug them.
15. Your now ready to remove the fuse block and a couple ground wires.
a. On the top left of the fuse block is a 20 pin plug (clear color) remove it now or after you drop the fuse block down.
b. Remove the blue 18 pin plug from the fuse block just below a. above.
c. Remove the 2 – 10mm nuts (one on each side) holding the fuse block in place.
d. Once the fuse block is down and out of the way, look up to the left and you will see a yellow wire plug, disconnect it.
e. There is also a ground wire attached to the steering column bracket nut/bolt (12mm) remove it and do not put the bolt or nut back in.
16. Now remove the remaining 12mm nuts and bolts (4 bolts and 2 nuts, you’ve already removed one for the grounding wire in 16 e.) holding the steering column in place. There is also one wire plug to disconnect from the very bottom column bracket.
17. With the steering column on the floor, look up toward the right, there is one more ground wire coming from the direction of the center vent.
18. Now for the hardest part of the entire dash removal…the vent cable on the left driver’s side! Slide the dash out slightly, using a long phillips screwdriver, remove the screw for the clip holding the vent cable. Using some needle nose pliers, reach in from where the side dash vent was to remove the cable from the vent open/close slider. (THERE IS AN EASIER WAY FOR THIS STEP BUT I HAVEN'T EDITED THIS YET (SORRY)).
19. Slide the dash out and you are done!
I believe that should cover it all. I know it seems long and a lot to do, however, it is really not as difficult as it may sound. You may want to have an extra set of hands near by; however, one person could do this. I’ll have the pictures developed and will include those in this write up as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM or email me, zmanscrxsi@aol.com

Yes like the two ********* above who probably never removed a dash before. They probably think you just unscrew 4 bolts and its done.

Leave, then grow up... n00b.
As for removing the dash, don't forget to take off the A pillar trim. I scratched the crap out of mine, but i can be impatient and clumsy so who knows.

to take out the vent selector slider pull the **** off
than u can take off the plastic trim with a flat head, than u will see 2 screws take those out and it will fall back and be able to remove dash.
