jsut wondering whtich o2 censer i should go with since mine is gone and i think thats y my engine lights on.......b16 first gen or single cam vtec?...remeber its a crx with a h22a.....

jsut a question when engine lights on b/c of 02 can that make vtec not enage i noticed that ....

 

what is in there now? Single wire or 4 wire. With the 2 you listed, one would be a 4 wire and one is a 1 wire. Gotta put back in what came out.

As for the O2 affecting the vtec engement, never heard of that one.

What ecu are you using? What codes do you have? B16 1st gens and single cam vtec use the same 1 wire o2 sensor.

 

thanks guys sorry ...i know i need single wire and im running a p72 94' on my h22a 94 engine in ym rex...and he told me i should get b16 first gen single wire or single vtec...?

 

A p72 requires a 4 wire o2 sensor.

 

oh ****....im so confused now he told em to get a p72 so that engine lights not on for egr with the p13 so i get the p72 ...now he says single wire o2 censer b16 first gen...either he forgot i got a p72 or he think i still got a different ecu ...i dont no b/c he said i need a single wire... are u sure i need a 4 wire...right now my stock 1.5 non vtec in and i guess its no good bc engine lights on.....how do you know how many wire each ecu or obd?....and p72 what year is that 92-96 or wat? is there different p72?

88-91 - OBD0 - 1 One wire O2 sensor
92-95 - OBD1 - 1 Four wire O2 sensor
96-now - OBD2 - 2 Four wire O2 sensors

It sounds like if you have a 94 computer, you need a 4 wire sensor.

 

then why would he tell me to get a single wire knowing i got a p72 94' running on my engine....? thats weird....and im sure ther eis only one 2 p72 ecu 1)obd1 92-96 and 2) 96 to watever .......maybe he think i need the vtec single wire or original 02 since its converted to obd1 from obd0 he probaby doesnt know that i need four wire....anwyaz does it clip right in? and whitch do i ask for on when i purchase?and do reset the codes i just unplug adn plug in ecu?
